Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder which compels the mind to act out of compulsion or obsession.
OCD consists of both obsession and compulsion that starts to take over your thinking pattern and forces you to doubt things leading people to consistently check things or remain unsure, OCD is something that eats away at the brain and gets worse to control over time.
an example of an Obessive Compulsive disoreder may be to put the volume at 32 every time you watch T.V. Or washing your hands repeatedly due to fear of dirt or bacteria.

People that suffer from OCD tend to stray away from their normal lives as suffering from a disorder like this means that it would clash with a daily routine and become somewhat time consuming.

Signs and Symptoms of OCD

some signs and symptoms that shape OCD are:
  • hestitaion and agitation, includes constant irritating movements of hands and legs (picking of hair, bitting of nails, shaking legs)
  • Person may use a irriation movement as a coping mechanism on a dily basis
  • Inability to focus, mind may be seen to be wondering
  • Feeling isolated or helpless
  • Performing compulsive rituals out of habit without a fail
  • People with OCD are quite aware of the fact that they are letting their minds control their actions yet still feel the urge to continue what they are doing, this causes anxiety
  • people with OCD tend to check thing repeatedly to make sure everything is correct
